Abstract
BACKGROUND: Hoplolaimus galeatus is a plant-parasite nematode with a broad range of hosts. This nematode is known to damage cotton, corn, and soybean crops. Hoplolaimus galeatus is also an economically important pest of turfgrasses. Despite its economical importance, no genomic resources exist for this parasite.Entities:

Phylogenetic tree obtained from Maximum Likelihood analysis was based on a concatenated alignment of nucleotides of the 12 protein-coding genes. In the analysis, Caenorhabditis elegans and Ascaris suum were used as the outgroup. Numbers below branches near nodes represent bootstrap values. See Methods and Results for further details.
