Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Invasive infections caused by group A streptococci, including bacteremia, pneumonia, sepsis, necrotizing fasciitis, streptococcal toxic shock syndrome, and focal infections, are the significant causes of mortality and morbidity worldwide.
