Abstract
OBJECTIVE: We assessed the clinical performance of novel Roche Elecsys SARS-CoV-2 Antigen fully automated electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA). DESIGN AND METHODS: We tested 160 subjects, 110 (68.8%), with positive molecular test for SARS-CoV-2 infection in nasopharyngeal samples, with Altona Diagnostics RealStar SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR Kit and Roche Elecsys SARS-CoV-2 Antigen.Entities:

Clinical performance of Roche Elecsys SARS-CoV-2 Antigen fully automated electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA) stratified according to cycle threshold (Ct) values.
| Ct values | AUC | Sensitivity | Specificity |
|---|---|---|---|
| All samples | 0.83 (95%CI, 0.77–0.89; p < 0.001 | 0.43 (95%CI, 0.333–0.525) | 1.00 (95%CI, 0.93–1.00) |
| <30 | 0.99 (95%CI, 0.98–1.00; p < 0.0001) | 0.87 (95%CI, 0.75–0.945) | 0.99 (95%CI, 0.95–1.00) |
| <25 | 1.00 (95%CI, 0.99–1.00; p < 0.001) | 1.00 (95%CI, 0.89–1.00) | 0.89 (95%CI, 0.82–0.94) |
AUC, area under the curve; Ct, cycle threshold.
