Abstract
Aims: The monocyte to high-density lipoprotein ratio (MHR), a novel marker of inflammation and cardiovascular events, has recently been found to facilitate the diagnosis of acute aortic dissection. Covariates for the multivariable model include age, gender, body mass index, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, smoke, complicated (vs. uncomplicated), extended to abdominal aorta (vs. confined in thoracic aorta), false lumen status, maximum aortic diameter in lesion, pleural effusion, pericardial effusion, white blood cell count, monocyte count, hemoglobin, platelet, serum creatinine, D-Dimer, total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, alanine aminotransferase, aspartate aminotransferase, antiplatelet drugs, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, angiotensin receptor blockers, beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, and statins. Variables with a p-value <0.1 in univariable analysis were entered in the multivariable models.
