Abstract
This article aims to determine the effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) for treating symptoms of Parkinson's disease. We present a brief review of the relevant literature and general information about HBOT. This paper describes evidence that HBOT has crucial effects to the three specific brain circuits possibly involved in "Kinesia Paradoxa" (noradrenergic system, basal ganglia, and the cerebellum circuit). Moreover, we are presenting clues supporting "Norepinephrine Hypothesis" according to which HBOT increases norepinephrine levels and restores motor deficits in Parkinson's disease patients.Entities:
