Surgery for osteophyte-induced dysphagia.

Abstract

A patient with DISH in whom osteophytes caused severe dysphagia has been described. Surgical removal of the osteophytes was simple and effective. The features of DISH have been summarized, the pertinent literature reviewed and the role of surgery discussed.
