Abstract
While mature cystic teratomas are relatively common ovarian neoplasms typically comprising of multiple embryologic cell types, a specific monodermal subtype involving thyroid tissue, struma ovarii, can rarely be seen. This case reviews typical imaging characteristics with MRI and ultrasound of struma ovarii and details possible complications from these masses with intraoperative and histologic correlation.Entities:
