Abstract
The cytogenetic study of the okapi shows 2n = 46 and 2n = 45 respectively. The reduction form 46 to 45 is the result of a Robertsonian translocation between autosome 8 and 21. X-chromosomes in the female are identified applying BrdU-dye technique.Entities:
