Meningeal involvement as the initial symptom of B cell chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

W Boogerd, T M Vroom.

Abstract

A patient is presented with cranial nerve dysfunction which was attributed to a meningeal involvement of chronic lymphocytic leukemia of the B cell type. Cytology and lymphocyte count in the spinal fluid were normal. The diagnosis was made on the basis of cell marker studies by immunocytochemistry of the cerebrospinal fluid cells.
