Abstract
BACKGROUND: Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) is associated with a range of neuropsychiatric difficulties, appropriately termed TSC-Associated Neuropsychiatric Disorders (TAND). The objectives of the study were to analyze the rates of TAND symptoms in a cohort of patients seen at the TSC Center of Excellence at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and to identify clinically meaningful profiles based on TAND symptoms.Entities:

aAbnormal is defined as anyone with IQ < 70 (includes mild, moderate, severe, and profound groups)
bChi-square analysis with 1 degree of freedom
c*represents p value that stayed significant (< 0.05) after FDR-adjustment
dSection 4 was not included in the cluster or factor analyses
Fig. 1Cluster analysis (Cronbach alpha is on the right)
Factor analysis
Analysis using Principal Axis extraction and Promax rotation; coefficients of >0.35 are bolded (with largest ones highlighted), and factors are ordered to match cluster analysis
K-means cluster analysis
Average factor score is presented (range from 0 to 1) with scores >0.5 highlighted/bolded, ordered by cluster in decreasing symptom burden
