Abstract
Infections with Rothia mucilaginosa are rare. We present an unusual case of Rothia mucilaginosa in an immunocompromised host, which is usually considered a low virulence pathogen. The objective of this report is to highlight spectrum of clinical presentations in an immunocompromised individual and discuss various antimicrobial treatment options in the light of lack of definitive treatment guidelines for this organism.Entities:

Figure 1.MRI brain imaging.
(a) A 0.5 cm ring-enhancing lesion. Additional foci of enhancement supra tentorially and posterior fossa (not all shown) show two lesions in the right medial occipital lobe; three lesions in the left front lobe; and two lesions in the posterior fossa. (b) Lesion in the right thalamus. (c) Multiple T2 Flair signal abnormalities shown related to cerebral edema, ventriculitis, and diffuse cerebritis. (d) Additional T2 Flair signal abnormalities with trapping of the right temporal horn.
