Abstract
There are many case reports of secondary neoplasms occurring after treatment with alkylating agents. A case of malignant melanoma of the glans penis in a chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) Ph'-positive patient after 13 years on busulfan treatment is described. Since neither impairment of immune status nor increased incidence of secondary neoplasm have hitherto been reported in CML, the suggestion that busulfan has a carcinogenetic effect is discussed.Entities:
