Abstract
OBJECTIVE: In patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), the relation between fatigue and disease activity is not established, and our objective was to explore in post hoc analyses the associations between fatigue and subjective as well as objective assessments of inflammation during follow-up of patients with RA initiating biologic treatment.Entities:

Figure 1Quartiles of fatigue at baseline (assessed by the Functional Assessment of Chronic Illness Therapy–Fatigue [FACIT‐F] sum score, in which higher quartiles reflect lower levels of fatigue) compared with baseline levels of patient‐reported outcome measures (patient's global disease activity visual analog scale [VAS] [0‐100] and Health Assessment Questionnaire Disability Index [HAQ‐DI]), swollen joint count, and Doppler sum score. CI, confidence interval.
Spearman's correlations between fatigue (assessed by FACIT‐F sum score) and patient‐reported outcome measures, clinical and laboratory assessments, and ultrasound examinations during follow‐up
