Abstract
OBJECTIVE: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) accounts for more than 80% of primary liver cancers. Moreover, in the next 10 years, more than one million patients are expected to die from liver cancer as estimated by the World Health Organization. The aim of the present study is to define the microsatellite phenotype in the blood, tumor and nontumor tissue samples from hepatocellular carcinoma cases to develop a simple non-invasive method for diagnosis and detection of the disease.Entities:

Age, ALT, AST, Alb, Bilirubin, S-creatinine, and No. of masses are represented as Mean and SD; the data were analyzed by t test, But Alpha feto-protein, Tumor size, and Steatosis are represented as Median and Interquartile Range (IR) (25% -75); the data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney U test., While Sex, Tumor Grade, Pattern, HAI, Hepatomegaly, Ascites, Splenomegaly, and Edema Lower Limbs are represented as Frequency and percent; the data were analyzed by X2 test. * P value <0.05 is significant, ** P value <0.01 is highly significant.
