Abstract
OBJECTIVES: People with epilepsy (PWE) have a higher mortality rate than the general population. Epilepsy-related deaths have increased despite all-cause mortality decreasing in the general population pre-COVID-19. PWE defined as having an epilepsy diagnostic code and at least two prescriptions of AEDs, aged >17. Study period was from 1 April 2004 to 31 March 2014. Only data from full calendar years within this time frame were used for this table.
