Figure 1Association between interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and diabetic retinopathy (DR). A threshold, nonlinear association between IL-17A and DR was determined (P<0.001) in a generalized additive model (GAM). The solid red line shows the smooth curve fit between variables. Blue bands show the 95% of confidence interval from the fit. All were adjusted for age, gender, body mass index (BMI), SBP, and fasting C peptide (FCP).
