Anterior decompression of vertebral osteosarcomas to relieve paraparesis. Report of two cases.

D Jaffray, M Hoyle, J P O'Brien.

Abstract

Anterior decompression relieved paraplegia in two women with primary vertebral osteosarcomas. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy did not prevent painful local tumor recurrences. Radical tumor excision could have improved the patients' outlook and general care.
