Soft tissue profile changes associated with orthognathic surgery for bimaxillary protrusion.

Abstract

Twenty-five patients with true bimaxillary protrusion (class I) were analyzed cephalometrically before and after combined anterior maxillary and mandibular subapical osteotomies to determine the exact changes in the facial soft tissue profile, the degree of predictability of these changes, and the extent of improvement in the postoperative facial soft tissue profile.
