Abstract
INTRODUCTION: thyroid nodules are palpable in about 8% of adults. It is necessary to differentiate benign nodules from malignant ones by the non-invasive ultrasonography thereby reducing the frequency of the invasive fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC).
