Abstract
In a study in which i.v. bolus injections of cefotiam were administered at a dose of 1000 mg directly before the start of hemofiltration sessions, the purification capacity of the drug was seen to be similar to that of other cephalosporins. Hemofiltration did not completely restore normal renal function, though it was only slightly less efficient with mean values and standard deviations for the extraction coefficient (E.C.) and hemofiltration clearance (Clh) of 0.25 +/- 0.06 and 74.02 +/- 17.05 ml/min, respectively.Entities:
