Abstract
Here, we present a previously healthy adolescent with aseptic meningitis without skin rash caused by varicella vaccine derived from the Oka/Biken strain; the patient received a single dose of varicella vaccine at 1 year of age. Pediatricians should be aware of the potential for reactivation of varicella vaccine derived from the Oka/Biken strain, which can cause aseptic meningitis in vaccinated children even in the absence of a skin rash.Entities:
