Abstract
A case of pancreatic abscess from Salmonella typhimurium is reported. After surgical drainage of the abscess, positive stool cultures persisted. Finally, after intensive antimicrobial therapy with tetracycline and chloramphenicol, and cholecystectomy, stool cultures became negative. This is, to our knowledge, the first published case of S. typhimurium pancreative abscess.Entities:
