Gingival salivary gland choristoma.

R B Brannon, G D Houston, H W Wampler.

Abstract

A case of gingival salivary gland choristoma is described. From a clinical standpoint, the lesion appeared as a tumorlike mass of the lingual anterior mandibular gingiva. Microscopic evaluation of the lesion demonstrated the presence of seromucinous salivary gland tissue. This is thought to represent a unique clinicopathologic entity.
