A retrospective analysis of the treatment of occlusal disharmony by selective grinding.

R B Winstanley.

Abstract

The method of treatment by the author of twenty patients with the signs and symptoms of occlusal disharmony over a 2 year period are described. The majority of patients attending for recall had partial or complete resolution of symptoms. The number of patients treated was insufficient for any definite conclusions to be reached concerning this method of treatment, although it was observed that loss of first molar teeth and the presence of third molar teeth in a number of patients could be aetiological factors.
