Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Migraine is one of the major headache disorders. Epidemiological studies have shown its high prevalence and negative impact on personal and socioeconomic aspects. It is currently ranked 19th by the "World Health Organization" amongst all diseases, leading to disability worldwide. Inflammatory mediators, which include adipokines, have been analyzed in migraine pathophysiology. Nevertheless, their role is not well recognized. This study is aimed to assess serum high molecular weight adiponectin (HMW-ADP) levels in migraineurs: during the ictal phase, prior to, and postabortive treatment.Entities:

Correlation of HMW-ADP Levels With Migraine Duration of Episodes of Headache, Migraine Frequency, BMI, HIT-6
| BMI | Attacks/Month | HIT | Duration of Each Headache | Migraine Duration (Years) | |
| –0.18 | 0.16 | 0.2 | 0.3 | 0.07 | |
| .04 | .12 | .07 | .006 | 0.49 |
Note. Spearman’s correlation coefficient was used to find the correlation between BMI, attacks/month, HIT, duration of headache, migration duration, and ADP levels. P value of <.05 was considered as statistically significant.
