Abstract
Electrodiagnostic studies, including electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction velocity testing (NCV), can be either useful or misleading in the diagnosis of compression neuropathies in the upper extremity. The author contends it depends on whether the clinician knows how to employ these diagnostic techniques in a group of disorders with varying exact etiologies. Making a decision between nonoperative care and surgical release in the management of these patients is also discussed.Entities:
