Abstract
PURPOSE: To estimate the magnitude of undernutrition in tuberculosis (TB) patients and evaluate its association with selected sociodemographic and clinical characteristics of the patients. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A health facility-based cross-sectional design was used. Four hundred and fifty pulmonary TB (PTB) patients were recruited between September 2017 and August 2018. Data were collected by structured questionnaire and anthropometric measurements. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20. Descriptive statistics was used for the analysis and expression of the data. Regression model was used to determine the association between undernutrition and selected factors.Entities:
