Abstract
IMPORTANCE: Significant differences in hesitancy to receive COVID-19 vaccination by race/ethnicity have been observed in several settings. Racial/ethnic differences in COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy among health care workers (HCWs), who face occupational and community exposure to COVID-19, have not been well described.Entities:

The totals vary depending on the question and number of respondents. Reported statistics for the following variables are based on available data, excluding missing observations for plan to have immediate family members vaccinated (1684 individuals [15.5%]), age (38 individuals [0.3%]), sex (5 individuals [0.05%]), education (1 individual [0.01%]), residential area (3 individuals [0.03%]), role in the hospital (759 individuals [6.9%]), years employment (5 individuals [0.05%]), and area with increased COVID-19 risk (818 individuals [7.5%]).
Vaccine hesitancy was defined as not planning to receive or being unsure about receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or planning on delaying vaccination for 3 to 12 months.
Other included those who reported being transgender or binary, preferred not to say, or checked Other.
Occupational risk of COVID-19 exposure was classified as high exposure for HCWs working in COVID-19 units, emergency departments, or intensive care units; moderate exposure for HCWs working in nondesignated COVID-19 floors or services; and low risk for those working in administrative offices, research labs, or from home (ie, remotely).
