Abstract
The presence of biotinylated proteins in detergent extracts of cells is demonstrated using 125I-streptavidin. Four components with apparent molecular masses (Mr) ranging from 70 to 220 kDa have been detected. These probably represent the biotinylated subunits of the carboxylase enzymes. The proportions of the four components were found to vary from cell type to cell type and also the Mr varied from species to species.Entities:
