Ontogenetic features of development of evoked potential in visual cortex of the awake rabbit.

I M Mamikonyants1, L S Gambaryan.

Abstract

The dynamics of development of the visual evoked potential (EP) were studied in awake rabbits during postnatal ontogenesis (from the first day of life to maturity). It was shown that the paths for sending light information to the cerebral cortex mature heterochronously, as a result of which the EPs have different configurations at different stages of ontogenesis.
