The conversion of a horizontal to vertical banded gastroplasty: a hazardous procedure.

Abstract

This paper presents 18 cases of failed horizontal gastroplasty from the combined experience of St. Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto and Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, who had vertical banded gastroplasty as the remedial operation to correct weight gain after horizontal gastroplasty.
