Abstract
OBJECTIVES: Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) is associated with significant morbidity and mortality in critically ill patients and leads to increases in health-care costs. However, it is preventable, and hospitals can decrease VAP rates. This study aims to retrospectively assess VAP rates in the intensive care unit of Dr. Abdurrahman Yurtaslan Ankara Oncology Training and Research Hospital of the University of Health Sciences, with reference to Acinetobacter baumannii, one of the causative organisms.Entities:
