Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To study white-coat hypertension (WCHT, blood pressure ≥140/90 mmHg in a clinic and normal blood pressure <135/85 mmHg at home), with blood pressure screening of a healthy population during their dental healthcare visit and the associated risk factors.Entities:

Figure 1.A flow chart of the study population, screened for blood pressure in dental health care in Sweden. BP: Blood pressure; NT: normotension (BP in clinic <140/90). HT: suspected hypertension (elevated average BP in dental clinic and at home). WCHT: white-coat hypertension (elevated average BP in dental clinic and normal average BP at home, both systolic and diastolic, 57.2% (335/586).
Clinical characteristics, life style and education level in the study population (n = 2025) screened for blood pressure in dental health care in Sweden.
