Abstract
The widely used Xpert MTB/RIF assay, limited by its suboptimal sensitivity, does not perform well as a rule-out test for tuberculous meningitis. Alternative CSF-based biomarkers can help determine the microbial etiology of clinical meningitis when standard diagnostic modalities fail.Entities:
