Abstract
CONTEXT: Irisin, a new myokine, has been found to be a biological marker of insulin resistance (IR). There is conflicting evidence on serum irisin level in adult women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and data are lacking in adolescents with PCOS.
