Abstract
OBJECTIVE: The purpose of the study was to find the differences in intrinsic functional connectivity (FC) patterns of the primary visual area (V1) among diabetic retinopathy (DR), diabetes mellitus (DM), and healthy controls (HCs) applying resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). PATIENTS AND METHODS: Thirty-five subjects with DR (18 males and 17 females), 22 DM (10 males and 12 females) and 38 HCs (16 males and 22 females) matched for sex, age, and education underwent rs-fMRI scanning. Seed-based FC analysis was performed to find the alterations in the intrinsic FC patterns of V1 in DR compared with DM and HCs.Entities:
