Α 57 year old woman presented with a painless mass on the left index finger that limited her daily activities. The mass had appeared five years earlier with no history of trauma. She had another similar, but smaller and asymptomatic, mass in her third finger. The left arm had no other evidence of vascular abnormalities. Duplex ultrasound revealed a compressible mass, with internal flow, but no arterial inflow, in connection with a superficial vein. Magnetic resonance imaging of the hand confirmed the diagnosis of a venous aneurysm of the finger. Vein ligation and en bloc resection were performed through a longitudinal incision. The post-operative course was uneventful, and no complication or recurrence was recognised at the six month follow up.
