Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Point-of-care ultrasonography (POCUS) is increasingly utilized in emergency departments (EDs) throughout Thailand. Although emergency medicine (EM) residents are trained in POCUS, Thai medical students receive limited training. An introductory POCUS course was implemented for medical students to prepare them for internships.Entities:

Further Suggestions of the Introductory POCUS Course
| Problems | N | % |
|---|---|---|
| Too short a time to learn | 132 | (57) |
| Too few ultrasound machines for learning | 116 | (50) |
| No simulation center for ultrasound, so that they had to learn and practice in the emergency room with simulated patients | 111 | (48) |
| No machine to practice in extra time | 95 | (41) |
| Too few patients to scan | 84 | (37) |
| Need medical student volunteers to simulate patients | 73 | (32) |
| Need to wait for an available ultrasound machine in the resuscitation room | 68 | (30) |
| Non-private feeling | 25 | (11) |
| Other: need positive finding to practice, need manikin, want to learn more emergency conditions, not confident in lung scanning in eFAST | 12 | (5) |
