Abstract
Tele-education assisted mentorship in surgery (TEAMS) is a novel methodology for surgical skills training with remote, hands-on, high-fidelity, and low-cost simulation-based education and one-to-one mentorship with longitudinal assessments. We review the background, methodology, and our experience with implementing TEAMS as an adjunct to traditional methods of surgical education and mentorship. Keywords: education; mentorship; simulation
