Markovnikov Hydroboration of Perfluoroalkylethylenes.

Abstract

A Markovnikov regioselectivity of 92 % or higher is achieved in the hydroboration of a series of perfluoroalkylethylenes and 2',3',4',5',6'-pentafluorostyrene with dichloro- and dibromoborane to provide the corresponding (fluoroalkyl)dihaloboranes (see reaction). © 1999 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH, Weinheim, Fed.
