CCI Comprehensive Complication Index
aPerforming multivariate models, the effect of age at surgery was adjusted for the baseline characteristics that significantly differed between the two age groups (P < 0.05) at univariate analysis: hypertension and Charlson Comorbidity Index. Also PS ECOG and ASA were associated with age, but they were highly correlated with Charlson, so we excluded them from multivariate models to avoid multicollinearity)
