Abstract
Two children with nasopharyngeal rhabdomyosarcoma are used to discuss the relevance of the histopathological investigation of adenoid tissue. Histopathological investigation should only be omitted if there is complete agreement between symptoms, intra-operative findings and macroscopic findings. Histopathology is advised for very large adenoids, alteration of consistency and in older children or young adolescents.Entities:
