It has been over 14 months since the COVID-19 lockdowns began, yet things are improving! States have quickly ramped up COVID-19 vaccination rates as more sites, vaccination staff, and vaccine supply have been made available. I’m looking forward to sharing time with friends and family I haven’t seen since early 2020. Although we must still be vigilant for COVID-19, I can see a light at the end of the tunnel. One of the many things I love about being an American Association of Nurse Practitioners® (AANP) member is its dedication to providing high-quality continuing education (CE). The AANP CE Center offers over 140 individual CE sessions conveniently accessible at any time. I also value the member discounts on health policy, national, and fall conferences, that provide timely, high quality education on a variety of topics relevant to nurse practitioners (NPs) caring for diverse populations and in diverse settings. This year, like other organizations, our national conference has once again had to pivot to the virtual platform due to continued COVID-19 circumstances. We will be hosting our virtual 2021 AANP National Conference June 15-August 31. Although I will miss the in-person opportunities to visit with friends and colleagues, I am excited our online conference will offer attendees ways to earn continuing education credit from more than 80 live and on-demand sessions. We will also host an attendee forum—the chance for NPs to informally network with friends and colleagues.AANP is aware that many have been impacted financially by COVID-19 and is making it possible to meet members’ continuing educational needs when cost may be a concern. Our entire virtual conference will be offered at discounted rates. AANP also allows nonmembers to join at the time of registration and get the member rate.At AANP, our mission is to empower all NPs to advance quality health care through practice, education, advocacy, research and leadership, and I think you’ll find our CE resources hit the mark. See you online!
