Reconstruction of a posttraumatic ear defect using tissue expansion: 30 years after Neumann.

A Quaba1.

Abstract

A two-stage method suitable for reconstructing the lower part of the auricle and using an advancement-rotation flap of expanded cervical and postauricular skin is described. Expander shape and capacity should be selected after careful consideration of available donor sites and the amount of additional tissue required for reconstruction.
