Abstract
Forty-eight patients with diffuse diabetic macular oedema were treated with perifoveal blue/green Argon 'grid' laser photocoagulation. Clinical assessment of patients was supported by serial fluorescein angiography. Patients were followed up for one year after treatment, and a two year follow-up was obtained in 29 patients. Statistical analysis showed no significant improvement in distance acuity, but demonstrated clear benefit as regards reading ability.Entities:
