Abstract
BACKGROUND: More than half of all deaths in under 5 children is related to malnutrition. Child malnutrition could be prevented through regular monitoring of the growth and development of children and the implementation of growth promotion activities referred to as growth monitoring and promotion (GMP). Mothers'/caregivers utilization of these activities through child welfare clinics could improve the growth and development of under 5 children. We evaluated mothers' knowledge on GMP, utilization and associated factors among mother-child pairs from a poor socio-economic district in Northern Ghana.Entities:
