Abstract
DC-SIGN, a lectin discovered two decades ago, plays a relevant role in innate immunity. Since its discovery, it has turned out to be a target for developing antiviral drugs based on carbohydrates due to its participation in the infection process of several pathogens. A plethora of carbohydrate multivalent systems using different scaffolds have been described to achieve this goal.
