Abstract
BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of surgical resection and stereotactic biopsy on the complication rate, progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) of 70 patients diagnosed at a single institution with primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) and to explore the predictors of selection for resection and the prognostic factors of PCNSL.Entities:

Fig. 3A 42-year-old men who presented with headache for 1 month. MRI (a, b and c) shows a contrast-enhancing solitary lesion with a diameter of 3.5 cm in the left temporal lobe. He underwent surgery with a craniotomy and gross total resection. The symptoms of headache were improved obviously. MRI examination (d, e and f) was taken at 1 week after surgery, which shows the lesion was removed completely. And MRI of 3 months (g), half a year (h) and 1 year (i) after surgery show that there was no recurrence of the tumor
