Abstract
This study, carried out in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region (N.E. Italy), concerns the traditional uses of wild plants against human diseases. One hundred eighty-one local plant species are used for treating various illnesses. Parts of plants, their traditional uses, methods of preparing the drug, chemical constituents and therapeutical properties are described. Often the therapeutical properties are correctly known. This study may be useful to pharmacologists and chemists interested in plants with medicinal properties, as well as to botanists with ethnobotanical interests.Entities:
