Abstract
Chronic erosive gastritis is a gastric mucosal lesion characterized by multiple, small, sessile elevations with central erosions. Symptoms typically resemble those in peptic ulcer disease. The elevations may persist and appear as sessile polyps after the erosions heal and symptoms resolve with therapy. Adenomatous transformation is reported in a patient with chronic erosive gastritis who had serial gastroscopies. This report suggests a possible association between chronic erosive gastritis and gastric neoplasia.Entities:
